Measurement Quantization

Input Definitions

The small set of measured physical quantities used as external inputs to the Measurement Quantization construction.

Measurement Quantization can produce nearly all results using only the following inputs. Where additional inputs are required, they are identified explicitly. Such cases include galaxy comparisons, for example, where the mass-density profile of the system being tested must be supplied independently.

α

α is the fine structure constant, a dimensionless fundamental physical constant that characterizes the strength of the electromagnetic interaction between electrically charged particles. Its recommended numerical value is published by CODATA from the least-squares adjustment of the best available experimental and theoretical data.

m e

m e is the mass of an electron.

a 0

a 0 is the ground-state orbital radius of an atom, also known as the Bohr radius.

c

c is the speed of light. In the MQ count representation it may also be written in terms of the length and time counts nL and nT , together with the fundamental measures lf and tf .

c = nL lf nT tf = 299,792,458 m s

The relation makes the count assignment nL = nT = 1 physically significant. [27]
